Right Great North Run completed... it was a great day, I started right from the back and managed to overtake 20,000 odd people to finish around the 18000th mark (out of 39000 runners who completed the race).. all in all there was a possible 54,000 people running that day and the atmosphere was quiet surreal for me since I'm a Lone Runner who plods alongwith her iPod so its was an odd sensation to have to constantly look for gaps to run through and jumping up onto to banks to overtake, but I was a lot of fun even though I am dissapointed with my finish time of 2:10:45

i'm trying to console myself with the overall in my age group i finnished 3202 in my gender group 4409 and in my combined gender and age 807th off course I dont actually know how many people were in each of these groups....(it would probably shatter my illusions if i diod know ha ha)

Any how im still raising money for The Red Cross, they do and amazing job, plus they were really kind to me when i turned up at there tent up looking like a refugee in my silver blanket, soggy wet and with a flat mobile and with no idea where my friends were and gagging for a cuppa and a biscuit after running 13.1 miles...

So please support them... i'm running the Bradford City Half Marathon on October 17th.... that my next challenge.. this time i want my sub 2!! ideal 1:50!! :)
