Brain Tumours - no two ways to say it - they are evil. Like many cancers they kill or leave devastation in their wake. More under 40’s die of a brain tumour than any other cancer, yet, research to find cures is massively underfunded.
The end of March is the annual Brain Tumour Research Wear A Hat day. Following on from last years successful Captain Toms challenge we thought this year we could combine the two.
We know money is going to be really tight this year but hope to make Saturday 26th March a fun day of walking and talking with old friends and new along Sidmouth Prom. Wear your hat, share a cream tea at the end and try your luck at the raffle.
Some interesting facts:
30 laps of the prom is 10 miles.
About 19553 steps.
This is just over the cost of a weeks research at one of the Brain Tumours Research centres of excellence (our nearest one is Plymouth).
Could you help us with a combined effort to achieve a month? If so, come and join us. If you do have a spare pound we would be very grateful for that too.
Stay safe and thanks for reading. x
