Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
When dad moved to London as a young man he stayed in a YMCA hostel. He played cricket and football for the YMCA and when he stopped playing he became an umpire and referee. He was given lifelong membership for his services to the association, which included voluntary work with disabled children.
It's fitting to raise money for a charity which played such an important part in dad's life. The YMCA at Mottingham was like a second home and my mum, sister and I have many fond memories.
Through the YMCA mum and dad made so many friends and we hope to see many of you at the funeral.
The YMCA support young people and families through sport, accommodation and training.
