On the 18th April 2021 my best friend Bronagh Mason and I will be walking 16 miles in memory of her precious daughter Ciara Mason. Beautiful Ciara would have been turning ‘Sweet Sixteen’ on the 6th April.
We are donating all funds raised to ‘The Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice’ whom the family hold in a very special place in their hearts.
The hospice played such a vital role for the family supporting them care for Ciara. They provided essential respite care which enabled Bronagh and Kieran to spent quality time with their other two daughters Orla and Grainne whilst giving them time to rest and recharge as beautiful Ciara’s needs required 24 hour care.
Furthermore, the hospice provided end of life care for Ciara which enabled Bronagh, Kieran, Orla and Grainne to spent precious time with Ciara and make memories that will last a lifetime.
After Ciara passed away the hospice also provided emotional support for the family, particularly Ciara’s sisters, helping them deal with their precious loss.
It is hard to put into words how amazing the hospice is and what it provides to families and their loved ones.
Beautiful Ciara would have been turning 16 on the 6th April. The mischievous one of her siblings who had a smile that could brighten up the room.
Ciara was inspirational, courageous , feisty and full of fun. She may have spent a short time on earth, passing away shortly before her 9th birthday but she touched more lives than many people do in 80 years. She has taught us to appreciate the small things in life and to grab life with both hands and make the most out of everyday.
Please donate what you can to an amazing cause in memory of an inspirational and courageous girl.
Thank you,
Angela and Bronagh
