I love being in and on the water whether it's swimming, surfing, kayaking or paddleboarding. We are so lucky in Whitstable to have the coastguards and RNLI constantly on the lookout and ready to respond if anyone needs help at sea. People underestimate the power of the wind and currents and I have seen first hand the RNLI head off to rescue people. They are all volunteers and the organisation needs donations to keep the service running. 

I am swimming the Dart 10k as a personal challenge but hope the RNLI can also benefit from my efforts.
