I am a nurse and work with a charity in Uganda accessing treatment for children with disabilty. Being aware of the plight of children with disability and difficulty in accessing good healthcare, in remote areas of Africa, I am proud of the work of Mercy Ships as floating hospitals. Sailing to Africa with well equipped ships and trained staff they not only do outreach wherever they go and provide treatment but they also invest in local healthcare and give specialist training to local healthcare professionals. I am so proud of this work and hope one day to become a crew member as a nurse
