Story
On Sunday 31st January we said goodbye to my incredible dad. As you know my dad battled with COVID for 3 weeks and sadly passed away in ICU at Musgrove Park Hospital.
We are all so fortunate that the staff at Musgrove did everything they could to help dad in such awful circumstances. The family Critical Support Team not only helped us connect with dad, but they helped us as a family beyond words. To this day they still email and check in with us. That is not in their job description. They are quite frankly incredible and we want to do something to show them how special they are and how grateful we are.
On Saturday 28th August we will be completing a running challenge in Portishead and finishing at the Lake Grounds. The challenge will be a 10K, half or full marathon. Sam will also be doing an incredible 5 marathons in 5 weeks. The man is an incredible machine.
As you know Sam and I are also part of Portishead Pilot Gig Club and they are doing something very special and we are beyond grateful. Will, Debs and Michael will be doing a massive 10K row, 20k run with 20k bag and 100k cycle. The club will also be doing a barbarian sprint row up and down the Marina.
I know dad will be looking down at us and laughing at the thought of us running. Dad was so kind, generous and would light up any room he went in. I know us doing this will be a way of us celebrating the incredible man he was. Plus in his words the staff at Musgrove are “magic” and people need to know how amazing they are.
The past 6 months have been so incredibly hard and we can't thank you enough for your support at this difficult time.
Lots of love,
Bella and family ❤️
