Update MAY 2021
Saturday 29 May 2021 we will remember Andy. Prior to scattering his ashes 16 of his rugby team mates shall be cycling the arduous 90+ miles from Scunthorpe to Corby. Arriving at S&L RFC between 4:00 -5:00pm. Please join us for the last mile at Corby RFC or make a small donation.
Thanks for taking the time to visit our Just Giving page.
As we come to terms with the shock of losing Andy suddenly and tragically, we pick ourselves up and give thanks for having him in our lives. He is known as a father, husband, friend, work colleague and rugby player.
Rugby is a hooligans game played by gentlemen.
Andy is a true gentleman.
The True Gentleman is the man whose conduct proceeds from good will and an acute sense of what is right and wrong; a man who does not make the poor man conscious of his poverty; the obscure man of his obscurity; or any man of his inferiority or deformity. He himself who is humble. A man who does not flatter wealth, thirst for power, or boast of his own possessions or achievements. A man who speaks with frankness, but with sincerity and sympathy; whose deeds follow his word. A man who thinks of the rights and feelings of others rather than his own; and who appears well in any company. A man for whom honour and love are sacred.
Andy will be in our thoughts on and off the pitch.
