Story
Just before Christmas of 2017, my Father was diagnosed with a multitude of cancers throughout his body. Unfortunately, despite his best efforts and strongest of mental strength - they gained the upper hand and, in the end, it was just too much for him. He consequently passed away less than two months after diagnosis, on the 31st January 2017.
Tributes and messages of condolence flooded in from all
corners of the world. A true testament to my Dads incredible character and personality.
Throughout everything, St Catherine's Hospice in Crawley
have been exceptional in both the home environment and at the Hospice. I cannot praise them enough for their incredible support to both him and the family.
My Dad was an incredible person. I consider myself very lucky to have
been in his life and I miss him desperately.
Over the course of the next year or so, I will be doing a variety of sporting challenges with the aim of raising some money, in memory of my old man. Below are the official events already I've already signed up to with more to come and and be ticked off throughout the year.
- Ride London 100 (100 Mile Cycle, London & Surrey)
- Completed the cycle on 30th July 2017 in 7hr19 ✓
- Tough Mudder (TBC)
- London Marathon 2018 (26.2 Mile Run, London)
- John o' Groats to Lands End Cycle (874 Mile Cycle, Length of the UK)
I ask if you could spare any change at all in memory of the big man, it would be vastly appreciated. Whilst also continuing his legacy, the money will also help to continue St Catherine's fine work across Surrey & Sussex for many others.
