Story

Hi All.

Last year I decided to do something different, and Clipper caught my eye. Brilliant this is just what I'm after. They take ordinary people, like me with no sailing experience, and turn them into someone who knows what the sharp end is called!! Only joking, for the last couple of months I've been undertaking training on board a 68ft and 70ft racing yacht. It's been different . . there are a lot of people out there with a lot of patience. .

The race itself starts from St Katherine's Dock, London, in early September. For some ludicrous reason, I've opted for leg 3. Apparently it's a short hop across the Southern Ocean from Cape Town to Fremantle. If only I'd paid more attention in Geography at school . .

My main aims are to do you all proud, enjoy myself and get to Aus in one piece.

Thanks for all the good wishes so far, even from those of you who think I'm completely %*^@"*(?> bonkers.

Cheers for now.
