Current overall total up to £2666 which is fantastic. Thank you everyone.
Hi Everyone.
Well we did it. 41 hours and 1 minute smashing the old record of 36 hours 35 minutes. It couldn't have been achieved without the fantastic support provided by the community around the Cecil Arms.
There are so many people to thank but without the dedication and painstaking recording of every leg and the timekeeping of all our limited breaks by Trevor Hard, Graham Sewell and Barry Simpson in particular we couldn't have managed it. Also thanks to the others who popped in and helped out for short periods.
Thanks to Adam from Securi-guard who came and fitted the CCTV that recorded the entire event.
A huge thank you to my wife Sharon who ran herself into the ground sorting out food and the raffle. She even dragged the Saltash Mayor and Mayoress up the pub and we all had photographs taken.
Many thanks to them for coming up and signing as witnesses to the event.
Thanks to Dan Lewis for setting up the webcam live link.
Another huge thanks is to Mike and Rose of the Cecil Arms for allowing us to use the pub, cooking and proving food and their overall support. I hope plenty of money also went behind the bar.
Also thanks to Julia Hard for helping with the raffle and doing the scoring of our 'bouts' of darts. Steve Hobbs for scoring, his wife Jan for helping with the raffle.
Another huge thank you is to Dave Fowler who raised a huge amount of money at Homebase in Plymouth.
'Uncle' Bob Payne was awsome getting hundreds of pounds in sponsorship.
Thank you to Kev Ball (Dan's father) for providing cooking his pasties which have won first prize at the pub for the last 2 years running. Thanks also to Nigel who brought us two big boxes of fruit, ond one a fruit box for a raffle prize from Tamar Fruiterers.
Another thank you is to all the businesses and people who provided raffle prizes.
I know I have probably forgotten someone and I apologise but you know how much we appreriate what you have done for us and for Parkinsons UK.
Our total is about £2500 as a guess and will be split between Parkinsons Uk ans the Cornwall branch.
Thanks again to everyone.

Thank you to all you kind hearted people. £20 on Friday from the raffle, £52 yesterday, £20+ today plus over £60 in sponsorship. Keep it going.
Hi everyone.
Chris Lewis, Niall McGarvey, Paul Sweet and I will be attempting to beat the world record for a pairs darts marathon. It currently stands at 36 hours and we plan to get to 40 hours.
Seemed like a good idea at the time!!!! Hopefully my knackered knees will allow me to stand up for that long.
We are doing so to raise money for parkinsons research. Our friend Dan who is only 29 years of age has this terrible desease and it is surely a worthy cause for you all to dig deep.
The event will take place at our local pub The Cecil Arms. St Stephens, Saltash starting at 7am Friday 22 June 2012 and ending at 11pm Saturday 23 June 2012.
There is live music and a raffle up the pub the following day on Sunday 24 June 2012 as well so please come along on any day and give us your support.
In any case please send huge amounts of cash our way so we can send a humungous cheque in.
For those interested the attempt will be recorded throughout with volunteers timing everything as we are only allowed 5 minutes rest in every hour. There will be a live link which will be posted here and hopefully after we've sent everything away our attempt will be verified as a new World Record.
