I have decided to take part in the Windsor Half Marathon 2012 to raise money for The Papworth Hospital Charity.

When I was 22 years old I was a patient of Papworth Hospital were I had an Aortic Heart Valve replacement. Being young and being told I needed a Heart Operation was pretty terrifying but the care and treatment I received from all the staff at Papworth hospital made this experience as good as it could be. 2 Years later, the Heart Valve needed replaceing again after it began to leak again (as if 1 heart operation wasn't bad enough). The care and treatment was fantastic once again. Now 7 years on after getting over my anxieties of over doing it, I'm doing the half marathon to give a bit back to a fantastic hospital and help them to continue doing what they do best. Also it will be a huge achievement for me and definately put my anxieties to bed. Any support in the way of a donation for The Papworth Hospital Charity would be greatly appreciated and really spur me on to the finish line.

I'll be doing the run in fancy dress as I did in a 10k run in King's Lynn, as the picture shows.
