Story
In celebration of a milestone birthday this summer I am raising funds for the Nelson Trust. Julia and I are also walking the Hadrian's Wall Walk from Wallsend near Newcastle-upon-Tyne to Bowness-on-Solway, west of Carlisle. We will be covering 84 miles in 6 days of walking during August.
Most of us are addicted to things. Some addictions are good (fitness, charitable giving, etc), but some are certainly not.
The Nelson Trust is a fabulous organisation and locally I try to support the Sober Parrot, a café and night spot in Cheltenham, which is a safe and fantastic meeting place for everyone.
Thanks to people like you the Nelson Trust bring belief, hope and long-term recovery to people whose lives have been torn apart by addiction & the multiple and complex needs that come with it.
They provide residential addiction treatment to men & women. They also support women in the community who are in contact with the criminal justice system.
Every penny raised will help improve the lives of the community of people that they serve.
