Story
Thank you for visiting my page and reading my story.
Most of you will be aware but if you do not know, it will be three years in August 2012 since we lost our beautiful son Taylan to an inoperable and incurable brain tumour.
In January 2010 my wife and I founded Taylans Project www.taylansproject.com , to commemorate Taylan's short and happy life but to also raise vital funding for research into brain tumours.
I never thought I would be in this position, it is not the reason why you have children and no parent should have to outlive their child. Losing a child is devastating and I personally want to try and make a difference.
Less than 1% of cancer research funding goes into brain tumour research and more children and people under the age of 40 die of a brain tumour than from any other form of cancer.
So, myself and four friends have each agreed to take on a challenging bike ride, travelling 700 miles in 7 days, visiting 7 universities (Glasgow, Newcastle, Leeds, Nottingham, Bristol, London & Portsmouth) that carry out vital research into brain tumours. We start our ride in Glasgow on Saturday 25 August and end in Portsmouth on Friday 31 August 2012.
I need your help to achieve my target, so I can help make a difference and fund the fight.
