Alzheimer Scotland is the leading, national dementia charity in Scotland. Our mission is to make sure nobody faces dementia alone. We provide advice, information and support and we are here for people living with dementia, their families and carers across Scotland.

Story

My pal George Cameron and I are walking The Highland Way on Tuesday 9th August 2022 in memory of my dad, “Big Andy”, who sadly passed in early 2018.  My dad suffered bouts of dementia near the end of his life.  It also affected his own brothers and sister.  It not only strips you of your memory, but your dignity too.  This is a personal challenge for me to help and others who have this illness as well as family members supporting loved ones.

Growing up my dad was our hero.  He not only tore the parental rule book, he re-wrote it.  His golden boys, Andrew, Christopher and Ryan.  He sincerely was our hero.

I almost feel embarrassed asking for donations giving the financial troubles we now face on a daily basis.  Any contributions, however small, are extremely welcomed and sincerely appreciated for this charity that means a lot to family.

If anyone wants to come along and walk with me on any particular day, feel free to contact me.

Kindest Regards

Andrew
