On the 17th April 2011 I will be taking part in the London Marathon. This is to mark the 20th Anniversary of my mum's death, following her courageous battle with cancer.

Those of you who were fortunate enough to have known her, will understand why she remains such a source of inspiration.

She dedicated her professional and personal life to helping others and so it is entirely fitting that Macmillan benefit from this fundraising appeal.

Macmillan continue to provide invaluable help and support to cancer sufferers and their families so please dig deep!

The last time I ran a marathon I was 12 years younger and about a stone and half lighter....... so here goes!
