Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I will be walking with my good friend Nick up in Scafell Pike/Lake District (The highest fell in England) on Saturday 23rd July 2011.
I am raising money for Rahab (Keychange Charity Project) which is a Christian outreach to women involved in prostitution in Plymouth.
Rahab has been operating for 18 Years and has been taking hot drinks and food out to the girls on the streets.
"The girls we see are broken. Some show it and share their brokenness, some don’t. They hide it behind the masks they wear in order to survive and keep going.
They hide it with drink and drugs and when we listen to their stories, the usual themes of family dysfunction, sexual abuse, prison, debt and children in care repeat themselves over and over. Often but not always, their stories tell of hearts which have been smashed by life’s harsh and cruel deals, of childhood lived through fear and rejection.
Rahab has a new office which allows us to create a more professional edge to our practice, build resources and information so that we can be better equipped to take the ministry forward, help the girls exit their lifestyle of prostitution and move on with their lives. Our vision of a safe house in Plymouth for vulnerable women is strong."

Rahab/Keychange Charity would value your contributions to make a difference in the lives of the girls.
