Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Every year since 2004 I have either run, worked at, or organised a cheer point at the London Marathon, apart from the year I was being treated for leukaemia when the hospital insisted I stay at home. This year there will be no April marathon and the government has told me to stay at home which leaves a space in my diary. A big space!
To fill the space I have measured out an alternative marathon course, in my garden. It works out at 608 laps to cover the 26.2 mile figure of eight course and for a change I will be on the elite start line and am in with a real chance of winning.
As well as filling a space in my diary it is a real opportunity to make a difference to the lives of people with spinal cord injury at a time they really need it. I hope you will give what you can, or live a little and give more, after all, everyone is saving a fortune on takeaway coffee right now.
