Story
WW2 Normandy Veterans served from D-day June 6th 1944 until August 30th 1944 when they moved forward into the Low Countries moving towards Germany.
In 1981 The Normandy Veterans Association was formed with the aim of reuniting Veterans and returning them to Normandy to pay their respects to the boys and girls who gave their lives so we could live freely. They also started school visiting teams so they could talk to children about their experiences and their wish for No More Wars, hence there motto “ There’s No Glory In War “
Many wished for a Normandy Memorial and there wish has come true with a magnificent Memorial at Ver-sur-Mer overlooking Gold Beach but they still have one more wish for education sharing there memories and wishing for peace and no more war.
There’s space and plans to build a magnificent education facility beside the new Memorial but of course this will be very expensive.
I certainly understand how difficult life is for so many families. Please Like / Share and any donation will be greatly appreciated.
These men like Captain Tom went through hell to give us the Freedom we live today and the education centre would be a wonderful tribute for them and the ladies and men they left behind.
Also please put a picture of your Veterans in the comments.
Kindest Regards Andrew and our Normandy Veterans.
