Story
On Saturday 4 February I will be abseiling 400 feet from the National Lift Tower in Northampton. This is thought to be the highest permanent abseil structure in the world and looking at the photo I can believe that!
This daring act is all about defeating dementia and the money raised will go to our Tesco Charity of the Year, Alzheimer’s Society and Alzheimer Scotland, as part of their Leap Year Challenge.
This year 100,000 people will develop dementia. Together, Alzheimer's Society, Alzheimer Scotland and Tesco will help make sure they don't face it alone.
Dementia can happen to anyone. It is caused by disease of the brain; symptoms include loss of memory, confusion and problems with speech and understanding. It is progressive and eventually terminal.
We have already raised over £5.7 million for this worthwhile cause – please help me raise even more.
Thanks so much for taking the time to visit my page – I know how hectic all our lives are! The fact is though that anything you can give really will make a difference and help to build a better future for those affected by dementia.
