JustTextGiving is supported by the Vodafone Foundation (registered charity 1089625)

This charity was only set up 17 years ago and is doing fantastic work to aid research and support patients with this form ofcancer.  There are approximately 4,700 people diagnosed with myeloma everyyear in the UK. It is the second most common form of bone marrow cancer andcurrently incurable.  Myeloma UK aims to help by accelerating thediscovery and development and access to new treatments. With a close familiy member currently in remission from Myeloma I know how hard it is for everyone cope with and understand the diagnosis.

This ride is going to be hard work for theTakeda team! 6 months of training through the winter, followed by cycling 120km a day for 4 consecutive days, from Greenwich to Paris. It still won't come close to how difficult it is to receive a diagnosis of Myeloma, either as an individual or as a family member of that individual.
