Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Last year I lost a very close friend to liver cancer - she was taken from us very suddenly. I wanted to raise some money for Macmillan (also the charity supported by my workplace) in her memory.
I'm not much of a marathon runner or mountain climber but as I love pop music and am up for an endurance test, what I can do is listen to the first 14 'NOW! That's What I Call Music' albums in order.
That's a lot of varied 80s music, some good, some terrible, and 433 tracks in all (hence the value of my fundraising target!) lasting for around 28 hours by my reckoning. I will be starting at 2pm on Thursday 19th March and therefore finishing at around 6pm on Friday 20th March.
To keep me going and to help you to join in, I will be using a Blog (which is https://noaxnow.wordpress.com/), Twitter (@NoaxNOW), and Facebook to post videos for each track as I go.
Please donate what you can - it costs £203 per day to fund a Macmillan nurse, and this is why I am completing the challenge on 20/3 by the way!
