Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In October of this year I will be undertaking the Mt Kilimanjaro trek challenge. At 5,895m, Mt. Kilimanjaro is one of the largest volcanoes ever to break through the Earth's crust. The challenge is to reach its summit within 10 days.
Why? This is for my nephews’ daughter Lois (pictured). Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
She is, as you can see very cute! But Lois was born with a very rare genetic condition that only affects 200 families in the UK.
CMN – Congenital Melanocytic Naevi is one of a wide variety of different types of birthmark that occur in newborn babies. Lois’s particular mark covers 70% of her body.
The cause of CMN is unknown. Caring Matters Now raises funds to support medical research to determine how and why CMN occurs. This research takes place at Great Ormond Street Hospital, an International Centre of Excellence in Child Healthcare. Caring Matters Now also organises family days across the UK to reach as many people as possible affected by CMN to provide support, information and advice. Please share our hope in continuing the support and developing effective treatments in the future.
So please dig deep and donate now.
Thank you
Andy
