Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On Boxing Day 2019 my stepson Huw suffered a seizure while driving. He was diagnosed with a brain tumour and underwent emergency brain surgery on January 17 2020. He is about to start a schedule of chemotherapy and radiotherapy at the Christie in Manchester. The last time I raised money for the Christie I ran the Manchester half marathon with Huw . This time I will be doing it for him and others like him as I take on the Half Marathon in Liverpool and one other in the Spring (probably Manchester).
The care that Huw has received from three hospitals (Stepping Hill, Salford Royal and the Christie) has been immense I decided to try and raise some money for Brain Tumour research to try and show our appreciation to all involved in Huw’s treatment and to raise the profile of this amazing charity that funds research into this Important area of healthcare.
There’s no target for me to raise and I appreciate that some will not be able to contribute financially. Any word of support would be gratefully received however.
