I am running the half marathon,  my first ever as I turn 50 this year and marks the second year of losing my mum Brenda to  cancer.  I have also lost my uncle and brother in law to the disease in recent years.

My sister Annette and her husband Andrew both fought and beat the disease over the past two years as well.
