Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving London Marathon 2014 page.

Somehow it seemd like a good idea to sign up to do the 2014 London Marathon but I'm in no way fit enough to run a marathon and nor am I ever likely to be.

However.... I'm not running the marathon I'm marching it!

The idea is for a group of us to complete the marathon as the Huddersfield Marathon Band, playing music all the way round.

Sounds a bit daft but the band did it in 2011, raised over £30,000 for Sense and set a Guiness World Record time in the process.

Our aim is to reclaim the world record for Great Britain (the 2011 record was broken by a German band in 2012, Boooo!) and at the same time raise even more money for Sense than last time.

Please sponsor me what you can for this great cause (and personal challenge!). Just £5 can buy something as simple as a set of musical bells to help stimulate a deafblind child through music therapy.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
