Many of you might not know, but I'm a trustee of the Booth Centre, a charity which for 25 years had been working tirelessly to change the future of homeless people in Manchester.
The charity turned 25 on May 1st, but as you might expect, they couldn't have a party. Or do any of the planned fundraising. They're also unlikely to be able to do the big sleep out in November, which generates a huge about of the much needed funding.
So, as I like to volunteer my kids for stuff, my son who's 10, and I, are going to be sleeping out, under the stars on the 24th May. With no tent. It'll be far safer than any night that someone else might spend on the street, but will hopefully mean we can raise some much needed money for the centre.
