I'm taking part in the Help for Heroes big battlefield bike ride in May 2010. The event takes place in France involving 300 Lance Armstrong wanabees and to take part I need to raise a minimum of £2500. The start of the trip will see us meet at HMS Victory in Portsmouth where we will be taken over to France to attempt to complete 350 miles in 5 days. Along the way we will be visiting various World War 1&2 sights and memorials to pay tribute to those who gave their lives for our freedom which I'm sure will be quite emotional. We will then be be boarding landing crafts to take us to a Royal Navy ship which will bring us back to Blighty.

Training has now started and the arrival of a proper road bike should at least make me look the part!!

I'll keep you updated as I go along and thankyou so much for making a donation. Please check out the charity's own web page www. helpforheroes.org.uk to see where the money is going and how it helps our injured soldiers.
