Story
On 19th June 2021 I will be taking on one of the biggest challenge of my life: Ratrace's The Wall. Running the 70 miles of Hadrian's Wall from Carlisle to Gateshead. You can watch the film that inspired me here https://ratracethewall.co.uk
National FASD unequivocally promotes alcohol-free pregnancy and yet a quarter of young adults don't know pregnant women shouldn't drink. Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder is a neurodevelopmental condition with lifelong cognitive, emotional and behavioural challenges. It is totally preventable. FASD affects more people than autism and is sadly most often undiagnosed or misdiagnosed.
The National Organisation for FASD provides support to people affected by Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD), their families and communities; campaigns to raise public awareness; and promotes relevant policies and practices.
National FASD is going through a period of growth. I hope you will be able to join me in supporting this essential charity as they focus on promoting well being for those with FASD and their families, provide materials for GP's, midwives and teachers and resources and experiences for people with FASD.
