Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
They say when you reach the big 3-oh you come face to face with your own mortality for the first time, and the indestructibility of the 20's gives way to a realisation that you are officially old. Well, I thought as I will be turning 30 next year, I'm going to defy these rumours and set myself some challenges for 2010.
To be honest I've wanted to run a Marathon for years as I think it's a great acheivment for anyone, so when I received an e-mail at work offering places through a charity I jumped at the opportunity.
The charity I'm running for is the Sara Lee Trust who provide complementary therapies, creative arts therapies, sanctuary days and counselling, free of charge, to people living with cancer, motor neurone disease and HIV/aids. I'm sure you can appreciate, being a small charity whilst still providing 2,500 treatments each year, the funds generated by volunteers running the marathon are a very important part of their fundraising calendar. So please take this opportunity to help them reach their target by donating what you can, knowing your money will be a great help to someone less fortunate than you and me.
Thanks for your support!
