Story
Thankyou so very much for donating.
Every little bit we raise really makes a difference into the research and hopefully cure to this disease . Amanda and myself are so grateful to everyone who has contributed.
To celebrate our marriage, Andy and I have decided in lieu of gifts we would like to raise money for Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis Alliance. It’s a very important charity to me as it supports and helps fund research into the Psoriatic Arthritis I suffer with which has a huge impact on my life. I was diagnosed in 2012 after years and years of joint swelling and pain. It is thought I have actually suffered from it since I was about 12 years. I was diagnosed with Psoriasis as a baby so there was a chance I would go on to develop the arthritis.
Treating the disease isn’t easy and the medications are harsh and take a toll on your body and internal organs. A lot of it is trial and error and the medications are extremely expensive so you have a very strict criteria to follow. NICE set the guidelines and funding is only granted once all the boxes have been ticked. It’s a long drawn out process which leaves you unmedicated at times.
By donating a sum of money everyone will be helping to make a difference in the life of so many. Hopefully by sharing my story people will see the face behind the disease…but it’s not just my face…my sister suffers too as well as my best friend. My youngest daughter has been diagnosed with the Psoriasis and has many symptoms of arthritis but as of yet is undiagnosed in that aspect.
Whatever you give, large or small, will be so gratefully received
