Story

Anyone who knows Chloe knows she is an absolute ray of sunshine in all our lives, she is a trooper who's life with Mowat Wilson Syndrome is anything but easy. Chloe has support from her amazing big sister Aimee, who's life at 13 is nothing like your average 13 year old siblings life. Aimee helps to meet Chloe's very complex medical and learning needs whilst continuing to show her little sister nothing but gentleness, love and care at all times. But where can Aimee go when she needs support in her caring role?...well that's where Carers Link comes into action. At Carers Link by providing support, information, advocacy, courses, groups and a listening ear we help carers in their caring role and to have a life alongside caring. As part of the young carer team I help to provide such support to Aimee and many other young people in similar situations. We offer young carers 1:1 support in school, evening group support, summer activities, residential trips and young carer statements!

Join us this year on Glasgow Kiltwalk and help to raise funds for unpaid carers throughout East Dunbartonshire. Your support will enable Carers Link to help carers . Voluntary donations are crucial as Carers Link is only partially funded by East Dunbartonshire Council.
