Story
So I thought I would take on another epic challenge and sign up for the Costa Rica trek to raise much needed funds for Holme Towers hospice in Penarth. As some of you already know my previous challenge was a cycle ride from Vietnam to Cambodia and believe me when I say this, it was HARD! What kept me going was the generosity and support shown by everyone involved.
Also my one big inspiration my Mum Janice Norman.
I will be doing this challenge in memory of my amazing Mum. She sadly lost her battle with peritoneal cancer in 2006 but she did so with courage and dignity. With the help and support of the team at Holme Towers she was able to make her own decisions on how she wanted to live out the rest of her days and was made to feel as comfortable as possible. Not only did the staff at the hospice do a fantastic job at looking after my Mum but they also supported the family.
I hope that I continue to make her proud and help others as did for so many years, so please dig deep and give generously. Even if it is just a pound it all adds up!
Thanks
Amy xx
Help Marie Curie Nurses care for more terminally ill people and their families. I'm taking part in Costa Rica trek for Marie Curie Hospice, Cardiff 2016 to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Please sponsor me and help Marie Curie Nurses provide free care to more people with terminal cancer and other illnesses in their own homes or in one of their hospices across the UK.
£20 provides 1 hour of Marie Curie nursing care, but whatever you can give will help terminally ill people and their families when they need it most.
Thank you for your support.
