Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As a family we have arranged a charity fishing match in remembrance of my Dad - Paul, the match will be held on the 22nd of August 2020 at Dents fishing lakes Hilgay.
Dad was a keen fisherman who fished at many lakes in the UK, Ireland and France. In 2017 he was diagnosed with Kidney cancer and a tumour on his spine, the day before my 20 week scan with his first grandchild. Dad was very strong and positive throughout his journey. He passed away on the 4th of April 2019 aged 60.
Dad received support from The Norfolk Hospice, Tapping house. He visited the hospice and received support at home and via the phone. The staff where fantastic in our times of darkness and need. After losing Dad I received Bereavement counselling which I feel really helped me to express my emotions and understand the grief.
The Norfolk Hospice offer support, care and advice to patients over the age of 18, their carers and families through all stages of their illness. Hospice care isn't just for people with cancer, they support people with a range of illness such as Dementia, Parkinson's, Motor Neurone Disease, heart failure and kidney failure.
Here are some examples of how your donations could help the Hospice:
£50.00 could purchase 2x nurses uniforms
£200.00 could provide 10 hours of bereavement support
£500.00 could provide over 40 hours of complementary therapy for patients and their families or careers
£1000.00 could provide over 50 hours of Hospice at Home specialist nursing care.
Over the coming months we will be having raffles etc to raise as much money as we can for Tapping House, this is where we need your help and support to reach our target!
Thank you for taking the time to read our story.
