Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my very yellow Just Giving page
In some small moment of madness, I have decided to run the London Marathon with only 2 months to train and 2 months to raise £1000. Already, my knees have started to creak and I am developing injuries from nowhere...
Please please sponsor me because
A) I hate, hate running and
B) It's for a very good cause
C) If I raise over £1000, I will dress up as something……suggestions??!
I am running for a small but great Nepalese charity called Global Action Nepal - they are a charity ran by a small group of volunteer trustees in the UK, with about 15 employed staff in Nepal. In a nutshell GAN focus on social and educational development in Nepalese communities and rather than building schools for example, they focus on things like teacher training, parent groups & womens groups. As it's very much a local charity, every penny I raise will go straight to projects in Nepal and being small, I'm confident anything I raise really will make a difference. My connection with the charity is through one of the trustees who I met out in Nepal many years ago and I have a massive love for Nepal - I wouldn't put myself through a marathon lightly!
Please sponsor me if you can - every penny will go a long way
...and come and cheer me on of you live in London. I'll need encouragement, otherwise I may just curl up by the side of the road and hope noone notices...
Thank you kindly xxxxx
