Story
On the 17th April 2016 I will be running Brighton Marathon to raise money and awareness for Alzheimer's Society. This is the biggest challenge I've ever done, so please help me get round by sponsoring me.
Dementia can happen to anyone and there's currently no cure. There are 850,000 people with dementia in the UK and the number is set to rise to 1 million by 2021. More and more people are being diagnosed with early on set Alzheimer's, this affects anyone under the age of 60, with people in their 40's even being diagnosed.
Alzheimer’s Society supports anyone affected by dementia, including family and caregivers, helping to keep those with dementia connected to their lives.
My aim is to raise £650, this could pay for a brain scan for a participant in a study, this could help improve the diagnosis of different types of dementia.
