Story

I am embarking on a bit of a personal challenge, with a VERY personal cause.

On the 19th January 2013, a group of my friends were walking in Glencoe and were unfortunately caught in an avalanche. The Glencoe Mountain rescue team came very swiftly and risked their own lives in trying to save my friends. Incredibly they were able to help save one friends life and she continues to improve and has so far had an impressive recovery. Unfortunately their efforts could not help everybody and the world lost some fantastic, motivated and enthusiastic people that day.

Some of those invovled were amongst my closest friends, who have inspired and encouraged me to get involved in things and challenged me to do things I wasnt always sure I wanted to! They have inspired me to come up with this triathlon of different events and they will continue to be my inspiration, to challenge myself in the future.

These three events are the first step. Lots of others are joining in various parts of the triathlon to help support the wonderful work of Glencoe Mountain Rescue do, and thank them for their efforts on the 19th January.
