Story
I will be running the Edinburgh 10k run in May 2017. This is my first 10k run I have done (never accomplished a 10k as of yet!) so to me this is a challenge, but going to be such a rewarding one, and i cannot wait!
Having recently been diagnosed with anxiety and stress related issues, I feel running for a mental health charity is very close to my heart. I cannot exaggerate the important of educating and getting proper treatment to those who badly need it, and fundraising for this is so important! which is why i have chosen to run for the health in mind charity.
Suffering from something that you are so afraid to tell someone about is the worst thing to imagine, and I am not the only one who has thought this, and there is probably still many more individuals who are on the same lines who are worried about speaking up and telling close family/friends what they are going through. It such a misunderstood illness and diagnosis that needs to be so much made aware of.
Taking on this challenge, is my way of showing how i came through it and made positive changes and stood up to it and anyone else out there can do the same! Every little helps and even if i can just send this message to 1 more person then that 1 less person out there who feels alone.
