Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As you may know, I have decided that it was my turn to help raise money and awareness for The Muscular Dystrophy Campaign.
As such, I have entered a 5K Spartan Race on 25th August, which is a race comprised of mud runs, obstacles, trail racing, physical challenges and mental challenges.... rest assured I am not looking forward to it at all!
A week later, I am going to run 10k in Battle, up some of the steepest hills around. Again, I am not looking forward to this either, as I am not a natural runner!
Although, these events will be hard and potentially painful, I think that 2 days of running, jumping, swimming through dirty water, jumping through fire and crawling through ice and then a 10k run, is nothing compared to those, who suffer with Muscular Dystrophy (MD).
Our dear friends, were told a few years ago that their youngest son, Arthur was diagnosed with Duchenne MD. It was a horrible surprise to the family and their friends, as Duchenne is the most aggressive form of MD and only 100 children are diagnosed with this a year.
It was a heart breaking period for all involved and especially as Arthur is such a character and funny little guy! This condition is already affecting Arthur and his day to day living. He is unable to ride a bike, so this charity has helped with buying him a trike. He gets tired easily and his legs are unable to work like those of a normal 6 year old, so they have helped with a wheelchair.
It is really important that this charity continues to help children like Arthur because they really do great work in supporting them and their families.
Please take a look at this video to understand even more why I am doing this.

Please dig deep and donate whatever you can. It is sincerely appreciated.
Thank you so much from me and Arthur x x x
