There are few families who are unaffected by cancer and mine is no exception. Although major breakthroughs have been made in the prevention, detection, treatment and cure of many forms of this terrible disease, crucial work is still ongoing. As you may well know, The Institute of Cancer Research is one of the world's most influential research organisations and Europe's leader. 

One in three people will develop cancer at some point in their lives, so the pioneering work of the 800 scientists at the Institute is vital and invaluable to us all.

I am running the London Marathon on April 24th in order to raise as much money as possible for the ICR and would be hugely grateful for any sponsorship, big or small.
