'The most serious humanitarian crisis faced' - UN
On 12th Janauary 2010, Haiti capital was hit by a devastating earthquake, causing at least 230,000 people killed, 300,000 injured and 1.2 million left needing emergency shelter. The University of Leeds Student-staff Haiti Campaign was set up shortly after earthquake to gather efforts across campus.
As an alumni, I have set up this fundraising page to support the campaign. My Msc International Marketing Management class last year (08/09) was remembered as being generous and united in our fundraising effort for a well-building charity in Nigeria. And this has inspired me that little things we do could make a big difference to the other side of the world and maybe change someone's life.
Haiti now needs our help and it's time we show them the supports from University of Leeds - current students, alumni, staff or anyone who wants to support this cause. Even a small contribution is enough to show your support and will be much appreciated. This means a lot to people in Haiti. :)
Love,
