Every year, ASN supports hundreds of people who are forced to travel abroad for abortions, because the criminalisation of abortion in too many European countries makes access to safe abortion virtually impossible. Take Poland, for instance: Poland’s abortion laws criminalise abortion under almost all circumstances, forcing many people to travel to Germany, the Netherlands and England for care they should be able to access in their home country.
I'm taking on ASN’s Go The Distance challenge to raise money for ASN, who supports people who need to travel for abortions. I will be walking 150K during October, which is roughly the distance from Dublin to Kilkenny, a distance some of ASN’s clients are forced to travel.
