Story
I am supporting penny appeal for the challenge of Pedal for Africa, a charity bike ride challenge: an epic one-day cycling fundraiser in aid of Thirst Relief, building water wells in Africa that transform the lives of village communities.
#TeamOrange is partnering up with the Riders of Shaam and Ladypool Cycles to organise this special one-off Penny Appeal challenge on Saturday, 21st April 2018.
Two groups of cyclists will embark on the journey, one starting from Birmingham, and one from Leicester, to the Welsh capital of Cardiff.
The funds raised will go towards the building of a Solar Powered Water & Electric Station for a remote village in The Gambia. This is a village that members of The Riders of Shaam Team personally visited in October 2017. This will provide thousands of litres of clean water daily to the village. In addition, surrounding villages will also be able to benefit. The system we are looking to have built by this coming May, with your support for Africa. This involves me cycling 160 miles from Bham to Cardiff on the 21st April to raise money for a water pump for a small village in Gambia. The donations will be 100% guaranteed towards the project through penny appeal.
This is my biggest challenge yet, but I will keep going because I know what it means to those I am raising the money for as imagine a day with no water or even dirty water, that is why I support such projects as it brings me satisfaction knowing I am helping others but also in Islam it is important to help those in need. So please find it in your heart to support me as much as possible through your donations on this challenge
