Story
Malawi is one of the world’s poorest countries, ranking 160th out of 182 countries on the Human Development Index. Agriculture is the most important sector of the economy, but the productivity of most crops has not improved since the 1970s, largely as a result of declining soil fertility.
But locals have decided enough is enough. Villagers have shown a strong willingness to improve their socio-economic well being by engaging themselves in small scale activities through irrigation farming. They just need that extra financial support to make their dreams a reality.
Peacegiving foundation want to make their dreams a reality. They are raising funds to install irrigation systems in Malawi . I want their dreams to become reality; this is why I will be fundraising for the project through a 4 day Henna marathon across London and through an online art auction.
