Story
As the ongoing human rights crisis in Afghanistan continues, it only increases the urgency of supporting humanists at risk around the world and ensuring that we have the resources we need to protect their rights — and their lives.
In the last 12 months, Humanists International has received 198 requests for help from humanists at risk, many of which come from Pakistan, Egypt and Iran. Amongst these requests, we can see the names of activists who are finally free, such as Mahmoud Jama Ahmed (Somalia), Shakthika Sathkumara (Sri Lanka), Josef Moradi (Afghanistan) - but also the names of activists who are still at risk, like Mubarak Bala (Nigeria), Rishvin Ismath (Sri Lanka), or Said Djabelkhir (Algeria).
To help more humanists at risk, Humanists International needs more resources. That's why I decided to donate to this campaign and I invite you to make a donation as well! #ProtectHumanistsAtRisk
