We provide support services and work to reduce the number of baby deaths

Story

I am running a total of 56km over 14 days this January (4km per day) to raise money for Sands.

Sands exists to reduce the number of babies dying and to ensure that anyone affected by the death of a baby receives the best possible care and support for as long as they need it. Sands promotes and funds research to better understand the causes of baby deaths and say babies’ lives. The charity also raises awareness of baby loss and works with the Government, key influencers and other stakeholders to make reducing the number of babies dying a priority nationally and locally.

Investment in research is needed to increase knowledge, improve care and maintain the political will to reduce perinatal mortality. Every penny raised makes a real and lasting difference to the lives of bereaved families and helps save babies’ lives.

My challenge14 will take place from January 11th to the 25th.
