Amelie's Breakfast Run page

On April 6th 2017 Dad lost his battle with COPD , his lungs and heart could fight no more .
Dad was only 70 , his illness had ruled his life the last few years and made everyday a challenge physically and mentally , life was exhausting for him.
Dad had worked with Hospicare for the last 12 months as someone with a life limiting illness , he was supported by the community nurses and was able to access the day centre which he enjoyed . Hospicare not only supported Dad but offered my sister and I , as his carers , advice and support .
After Dad's passing their support to us and words of kindness have been so helpful in a time where we have felt utterly bereft .
Not only for Dad but for all the people who's lives are shortened by illness , disease and for their families who have to face challenges that break the soul and crumble hearts I take on this challenge .
So 5k - easy you may think - this to me is a huge challenge . I could run for a bus but that's it . So here goes a chance for me to train . I'm hoping the training will help me to get through the grief which is ravaging me but more importantly I'm hoping to raise funds for Hospicare , give back to the amazing charity that have given us and gave Dad so much .
