I was so grateful for all the support and kind words when I attempted my first Marathon in April that I thought you might like to know that I'm going to have another go and will be running the Liverpool Marathon on Sunday 14 October.

I'm running for a very worthy cause - the Alzheimer's Society.

My Grandmother-in-law suffered terribly with dementia for many years and it was so sad to see such a physically fit and proud lady so distressed, confused and unable to recognise even the closest of family members.

I've been training hard, hopefully my previous injuries are behind me, and I'm hopeful of beating my time at Brighton (4.00.07). For anybody who'd like to give me an added incentive though, I'm very happy to receive offers of sponsorship on the condition that I run under 4 hours this time!
