In November 2010 i will be visiting Ethiopia along with 20 others from GMP in partnership with the charity ReTrak in order to help develop a childrens centre for street children in Addis Ababa. The work will consist of everything from physically developing the childrens centre to spending time doing activities with the children.

 The charity ReTrak works within Africa to offer a real alternative for children to life on the streets, many of the children they help have been affected by HIV/Aids, have been orphaned or seperated from their families leading to them living on the streets. ReTrak helps in many ways, by offering the children refuge and healthcare as well as trying to reunite them with their families where possible or organise foster care where it isnt- or helping them to live independantly in the communities and realise their worth and embark on an alternative to the hardships of the streets.

  Im really looking forward to the challenge and the oppurtunity to help in whatever way i can but.... in order to do so i need your help! I am looking to raise in the region of £1000 and hopefully more as every penny raised will really help the work we do out there. I will also be taking part in the Great Ethiopian Run whilst i'm there and will try my best not to come last! I will give the project 100%, please give what you can as every little helps!
