A bunch of us from work (the Greater Manchester Police) have successfully completed The 3 Peaks Challenge!

 

In a nutshell, we walked/climbed up Ben Nevis, Scafell Pyke and Snowdon within 24 hours from start to finish including travelling times!  Ben Nevis being the highest mountain in Britain (Scotland), Scafell Pyke being the highest mountain in England and Snowdon...yes you guessed it...the highest mountain in Wales!

 

We started the challenge at 4.00pm at the foot of Ben Nevis on Tuesday 22 June 2010 and complete it at the foot of Snowdon (having climbed it of course) 23 hours and 12 minutes later on Wednesday 23 June 2010.

 

The very deserving charity of our choice is Cancer Research UK.  Please give generously to this deserved life saving charity.  Most unfortunately, I am sure we all know somebody who has lost their battle to this terrible desease... me personally, my very brilliant and fun loving Aunty Kath we lost in 2006.
